Senior guard Pete Trammell tied a career-high with 28 points to lead #9 Grand Valley State to a 72-62 victory over Ferris State in the GLIAC opener for both schools Monday night. (more)

After trailing by as many as 14 points in the second half, Grand Valley State fought back to within three points, only to fall to West Michigan rival Ferris State, 74-64, on Monday night (Dec. 1) at Fieldhouse Arena. It was the GLIAC opener for both teams, as GVSU falls to 3-2 overall, 0-1 in league play, while the Bulldogs improve to 2-2 with a 1-0 conference mark. (more)

Grand Valley State University freshman swimmer Toni Musto (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern) has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's swimming "Athlete of the Week" it was announced by the league office. (more)

Sophomore forward Justin Ringler became the first Laker to earn GLIAC North Division Player of the Week honors this season. Ringler notched GVSU's first double-double of the season with 14 points and 14 rebounds. (more)
